In class today we worked on nonlinear deforming.  We had to do the six different by them selves then two that combines two of them together.  These are what I came up with.

Today in digital arts class we worked on duplicate special.  We had to do three different projects that was focused on duplicate special.  For my first one, I made a cube, a circle, a pyramid, and a cylinder and rotated them in different directions.  This is what I came up with.

 For my second one, I took a circle and stretched it out in one direction then rotated it and moved it up on each duplication.  This is what my second one looks like.

For my third duplication, I took a pyramid and rotated it five times, then took those and rotated those 20 times, then took the result of that and duplicated it 20 times.  This is what I ended up with.  It kind of looks like a mountain range.

Today in class I worked on setting up my big project blog.  After that i went back to my big project.  Today i assembled the body of the plane and also the dimensions of the top wing.  I took the wing and set the side view on top of it and extruded it down the side of the wing all the way down.

Today in digital arts we made holes inside of a cube.  This is what I did.

Today is big project Friday.  On big project Friday we work on one big project that we will turn in at the end of the semester.  My big project is I am going to make a Biplane and make it look really cool and realistic.  I have have taken a set of plans and I imported them into Maya to trace over them to make the different parts of the plane realistic and the same size.  Today I made one of the two main wings and some of the support braces. I have highlighted the main wing in blue and the support braces in red.

I started out with a simple plane then I formed them to the shape of the air plane parts by putting it into wire frame mode to see the schematics below it.

Today we worked on beveling edges. These are the pictures from what I did today.

 

Then I kept working on my big project.  Today I made a bi-plane for it.  I got the shape of it done. Then I colored it to make it stand out from other Bi planes.

Today in class we worked on extruding faces again.  But this time we created our own curve first instead of pulling it from a face.  This gave us a different shape then just a square.  Once we made a shape we then added a curve for it to follow.  We then tapered the end and had to make another one.  The second one had to tangle through the first one.  I created my base then wove the curve through the other one.  this is my final result taken from a few different angles.

I realized that these looked like tentacles so I made eight of the same size and shape and put them next to each other.  Then for the head I made a circle and drew eyes onto it.  This is what my octopus looked like.
